Who We Are & What We Do

Etoile Housing, also known under the Host Families in Paris name, is dedicated to providing accommodation in Paris or the Parisian suburbs for students, professionals and tourists.

We receive foreigners of all nationalities and ages. However, our guests are most commonly students enrolled in a university, Grande Ecole or pedagogical institute in Paris, as part of an academic program. Etoile Housing thus works in partnership with numerous universities for the accommodation of their students for periods ranging from a few weeks to semester stays, notably for study-abroad programs.

Students stay with host families carefully selected for their seriousness and the quality of the accommodation they provide.

Housing packages range from simple accommodation to half board.

Etoile Housing is the partner of several educational and university organizations and therefore regularly receives groups of students and their chaperones. Do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your needs so that we can design a personalized program for you.

Our Accommodation Conditions

Dwellings are fairly large family apartments (sometimes detached houses) which have at least one room, single or double (two separate beds) occupancy, equipped with a desk and storage space. Most often the bathroom is shared with the host family. The kitchen is considered a common living space.

For each stay, we select the host family that best matches the profile of the person seeking housing: languages spoken, lifestyle habits, special diets, specific needs, etc.

Guiding Principles

Our families all adhere to our Quality Charter. This Charter guarantees our guests are well received during their stay: impeccable hygiene and comfort standards and a “family” atmosphere which contributes to a successful Parisian immersion. We know our host families well, and they know us well. For each stay, we select the host family that best matches their guest’s profile and we remain in contact during the stay. A satisfaction questionnaire is given to each guest at the beginning of the stay. This questionnaire, which is completed at the end of the stay, allows us to constantly improve the quality of our services and the hospitality of our families.
